ThermoEnergy Corporation, a diversified technologies company, engages in the commercialization of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems and carbon reducing power generation technologies worldwide. The company owns Zero Emission Boiler System, a patented pressurized oxycombustion technology, which converts fossil fuels, including coal, oil and natural gas, and biomass into electricity without producing air emissions while removing and capturing carbon dioxide in liquid form for sequestration or beneficial reuse.

ThermoEnergys Controlled Atmosphere Separation Technology systems can be utilized as stand-alone wastewater or chemical recovery systems, or as part of an integrated plant-wide recovery solution.

Its water technologies also include Compliance Systems that are designed to meet local and federal regulatory mandates; Primary Recovery Systems, designed to treat majority of an operations wastewater for reuse and concentrate the contaminants; and Final Recovery Systems designed to treat the remaining concentrate contaminants for disposal or additional processing to achieve zero liquid discharge.

The company also offers Ammonia Recovery Process that captures ammonia from dilute waste streams and converts it into ammonium sulfate, a commercial grade fertilizer, which can be utilized in agricultural markets; ThermoFuel Process, a renewable energy process that converts digested or waste-activated sewage sludge into a high-energy fuel that can be converted into electricity for use on-site; and Enhanced Biogas Production process, a method of processing and treating animal waste from concentrated animal farming.

Its wastewater treatment systems have applications in aerospace, food and beverage processing, metal finishing, pulp and paper, petrochemical, refining, microchip and circuit board manufacturing, heavy manufacturing, and municipal wastewater. ThermoEnergy Corporation was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts.
